Stuck on a Dying Platform?
Cloud computing is a very compelling choice when organizations are faced with the decision on what to do with their outdated, unsupported on-premise system. I talk with various organizations who are stuck on these platforms, and don't want to incur the large costs of upgrading and supporting another on-premise platform.
Stuck on a Dying Platform?
Drive your code-less integrations with data
If you've coded an integration over the past couple of decades, then you have experienced the pain that comes with learning a legacy API. There were no consistent standards or structures, which complicated the learning path for developers.
How many times have you checked your eMail today? I'm willing to bet that you're monitoring at least one of your eMail apps while you're reading this blog. The fact that most of us are glued to our eMail makes apps like Outlook an attractive destination to plug in new functionality.
Integrating Data with Microsoft Azure
If you follow my blog, then you know how much I LOVE cloud technologies. As a former network operations manager, I was happy to give up my life maintaining hardware and operating systems. I now focus on customizing and extending cloud applications like Dynamics 365, and integrating data with cloud solutions.
Do you store documents in SharePoint, but don’t know how to integrate it with Dynamics 365? Dynamics 365 offers a native SharePoint integration that is quick and easy to set up! Unfortunately, for organizations that have a custom SharePoint structure already in place, you may run into some road blocks.
Are You Fully Embracing Cloud Technology?
I hear that you are looking to move to the cloud. That's great, but what does that mean to you? Are you simply looking to move off an aging infrastructure, or should there be more to your cloud migration strategy?
I recently worked with a client who wanted to move his website up to the cloud.
Dynamics 365 (online) version 9.0 is here and there are some important developer changes you should know about! In addition to deprecated client-side code, the Dynamics 365 SDK will be retired and replaced with what Microsoft is calling the "Developer Guide". Developers use the current SDK to search for coding compatibility, access tools such as the Plugin Registration tool and access coding samples and references to the libraries (.dll's) for use in their projects.
Dynamics 365 Virtual Entities
Dynamics 365 v9 is here, and it's packed tight with new features and enhancements! My favorite is the introduction of virtual entities, but are they the right fit for you?
What are Virtual Entities?
Virtual entities provide a way to view data from an external data source inside Dynamics 365. This is not a data integration, but a way to see real time data in a format that's already familiar to your end users.
Important changes are coming in Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement version 9! Microsoft has outlined them here. Microsoft will perform the Dynamics 365 upgrade for those currently on Dynamics 365 Online, so it’s important to be aware of these changes!
Custom functionally may need to be updated by your Partner or CRM Admin.
Are you ready to migrate to the cloud? If so, how will you maintain your integrations during this transition? Maybe I can help by painting you a picture of an integration. This is a picture that Beringer Technology Group has painted hundreds of times for our clients, and I hope it can help you.
