New Changes to Dynamics 365 Storage Model!

Thanks to businesses expanding their digital reach and unifying their organizations through the adoption of Dynamics 365, Microsoft adjusted the structure and pricing model of their original data storage model.

How do the new changes affect our customers?

Previously, users viewed their storage capacity in multiple places:

There is now a ‘Capacity’ page in the Power Platform Admin Center where admins can visualize their capacity data in a single place.

The new capacity reporting evolved to allow users to see their usage in an optimized model with these three types of storage: Database, File, and Log. Here’s a few of the benefits:

• Reduced need to free storage space
• Support for variety of data types
• Additional default and full user entitlements

What does this mean for your business?

The new storage changes will affect the pricing structure for Dynamics 365 users. However, for existing customers there is no immediate change as your current term will be honored for the duration of your agreement.
