What’s new with Dynamics 365 Sales

Microsoft has recently released new updates to Dynamics 365 Sales with new and improved functionality.  Additionally, Microsoft has identified new and exciting features planned for release later this year.

What is Dynamics 365 Sales?

Dynamics 365 Sales is an industry-leading sales tool designed to maximize sales teams' productivity.  In this release, Microsoft aims to improve the sales process through data and AI.  Enhancing process automations will help to assign leads and opportunities to the right sales reps while balancing the workload on your sales team.  Conversation Intelligence can gather client data and provide managers with the right information to guide and coach their sales teams.

What's new?

Below are some of the highlights in the latest and upcoming releases to Dynamics 365 Sales:

Customer Engagement using SMS (Generally available March 2023)

With text messaging becoming the standard form of communication in today's fast-moving world, it's only natural that Dynamics would adapt accordingly.  Now, Sales teams can send and receive text messages from their customers without ever having to leave the application or search for a customer's details.

Third-party softphone insights (Generally available July 2023)

While texting may be on the rise, phone calls with clients remain a critical part of the sales process.  Dynamics is extending their conversation intelligence beyond Microsoft Teams. Soon, you will be able to get conversation intelligence, business insights, call reports and coaching tools for your third-party softphone.

Stakeholder visualization (Generally Available June 2023)

Too often, sales teams only engage a small portion of a company's employee base.  This may lead to additional sales opportunities being missed or lost.  Dynamics will soon have a new Org Management feature that will allow sales reps to detail their client's organizational structure to help maintain and strong business relationship.
